12 Arthur Street is a high-spec commercial office building in the City of London, designed to meet demanding international standards while contributing positively to the surrounding urban fabric.
The existing entrance experienced long-term reliability issues, resulting in frequent breakdowns and discomfort caused by cold air and drafts. BDS Entrances was commissioned to develop a bespoke entrance solution that would significantly improve performance, comfort, and the overall arrival experience.
In close collaboration with the client, Prudential Ltd, BDS Entrances engineered a unique bi-parting, tall curved sliding door system. The newly created “grand opening” allows visitors to enter side by side, enhancing accessibility and reinforcing the building’s prestigious character.
To ensure a comfortable internal climate, an advanced air curtain and air circulation system was fully integrated into the entrance design. Finished in bronze cladding, the bespoke BSDR 282 sliding doors form a distinctive architectural feature while delivering reliable, smooth operation for daily use.
